Abbotts of Christian County,Mo.

William Abbott settled in Christian County,Mo.circa 1840 with his wife ,Matilda Godsey,and family.I have been able to trace their marriage to 1830 Scott County,Va.but unable to locate his place of birth or his father's name.Would also like to find the family's origins before Virginia.
