Walter McNamara 1885-1920

Walter McNamara was born inthe USA arounf 1885 I am not sure what State. His parents were Timothy McNamara and Mary Ann (Linskey) McNamara. They were from Liverpool England.Walter came to England as a child and was then reared up in Liverpool. Ihave his marriage and death records and I am anxious to obtain his birth cert . I ahve been on the www.ellisisland.org site looking for his mother Mary Ann but i cannot get any lower than 1892 Walter was born in 1885. can someone help me to find his birth records?
