James Carter and Martha Jones

James Carter was my great grandfather. He and his wife, Martha, were members of the Friends Church in Sheridan, Indiana. One of their children, May Carter Phillips, was my grandmother; her son Vance Carter Phillips, was my father. I am looking for more information on this branch of the Carter family, in particular, James' parents. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank You. Kathryn
