These were my mother's parents and my grandparents. Both were living up until the mid-1960's and lived in Hutchinson, Kansas when my mother was young, guessing around 1920's-1930's.
They also had a summer home in Minnesota and went to Big Sand and Little Sand by some lake where grandpa caught lots of fish, flycasting. One story was about how he scared their negro cook by dressing up in a bear skin rug. Another was how grandma cooked fried frog legs and they were so fresh, when they cooked, the muscles in the legs made the froglegs jump right out of the pan!.
Another story was about how grandpa caught a bat when fly casting. Please write if you have any information about Harry, brother Ben Eales. And more. I think I found one line of folks related and saw a lineage story about relatives leading up to, and including Harry and Ben and what Ben's profession was. I would like to help create a website for my mother's side of the family. Thanks.
