So far in my research I have found that my great-grandfather, Charles Silas Rogers was the son of Mary S. Gould.
I think that Mary S. Gould was the daughter of Mary Haviland (b.1813) and Edward Gould.
The 1880 US Census shows Mary S. at her uncle J B Haviland's home in Michigan. I deduced Mary S.'s last name to be Gould because my great-grandfather, Charles Silas Rogers, had a son he named Haviland Gould Rogers (b. 24 Feb 1907). This son was the brother of my grandmother Edythe Estelle Rogers (b. 13 Feb 1900).
