I am still looking for William JAMES and Nancy LANKFORD children's full names
William James married Nancy Lankford in Tishomingo Co. MS in 1865
would like to see some type of information on this subject.
In 1870 they are listed on the Prentiss Co. MS census
William, Nancy and child Robert Lee
In 1880 they are listed on the census Prentiss Co. MS
William (1844), Nancy (1844), Robert Lee, A. J. (female), W. H. (male), Faedonia, and Racheal Lankford (Nancy's mother)
William is noted as died April of 1880 census year and Nancy is shown as a widow and head of household.
I have found land bought and sold in Prentiss Co. MS.
William and Nancy Lankford JAMES are listed as parents on William Henderson JAMES’ death records at Shackelford Funeral Home Selmer TN.
I feel that the W. H. on the census in 1800 Prentiss Co. is my ggf William Henderson JAMES. But I have nothing showing that this is a fact. Henderson left home, very young with his brother Robert Lee. Robert Lee died young. I know it was before the 1900 census, but that is a 20 year gap. Family members say that they arrived very young in McNairy Co. TN. Best bet is Henderson was about 10 years old. He never talked about his father or mother, he may have not known much about them.
Henderson married Amanda Maddie HOOKER in McNairy Co. TN and Robert Lee Married Laura HOOKER, Amanda's sister. Henderson will live in McNairy Co. TN, for most of his life. Henderson, Amanda, Robert Lee and Laura will however leave TN. late 1800's and go to TX. for a short time before the 1900 census. Have some children, that how we know they all went to TX. But will return, before the 1900 census because they are all on it, but Robert Lee. Robert dies somewhere any information on him would be helpful.
I would like any information on full names, matches of family members, land, service records, etc.
I have been trying to match these people for sometime so anything on any of these people would be better that what I have, so send or post anything no matter how small the information my be.
I would like to match William and Nancy JAMES to William Henderson JAMES. This family in Prentiss may not be Henderson's parent. I you have another William and Nancy LANKFORD JAMES, family with a Robert Lee and William Henderson in it I would like to look at that information.
