James Author Ogden born 16 May 1884, Metcalfe Co. KY and died 13 Aug 1957 KY. James married 25 Dec 1907 to Leona Elizabeth Meers Ogden. He was my grandmother's younger brother. There were 12 children.
Note: Connie Ogden Feese said, "I also have old photos of Jim and Leona Ogden, Mary Skaggs Ogden."
James and Leona's child Grace Genevieve Ogden Rowe born 12 Sep 1912, KY and died either KY or Florida. Maybe Tampa. Grace's husband Patrick Henry Rowe and they married on 29 July 1933 in either KY or Florida. They had a child named Elizabeth Ann Rowe (Logsdon)born 1934 Or 35 in KY Florida and died ca 1980s Tampa Florida. Elizabeth married James Elmer Logsdon on August 5, 1955.
James' father James Earl Logsdon born ca 1930 KY or Florida and died 5 Nov 1959, either KY or Florida.
Note:
Elizabeth Ann Ogden Rowe married James Elmer Logsdon on August 5, 1955. They had a son James Elmer Logsdon Jr.on August 20, 1965. Mother (Lillian Mary Lena Hayden Fraser had written to Elizabeth several times. I have an old letter that I will enter here later. And I have a letter I wrote to Elizabeth A Logsdon, 6605 West Paris Street, Tampa, Florida 33614 on July 7, 1998 just months before my first heart attack on October 21, 1998 in Mansfield, Texas. Elizabeth Ann Rowe married James Elmer Logsdon Sr. on August 5, 1955, and they had a son, James Elmer Logsdon Jr. My mother, Lillian Mary Leona Hayden Fraser wrote to Elizabeth and she wrote back to her several times, and I think the last letter my mother got was around 1978 from Tampa Florida. I have the letter.

Dear Betty, James and family,
My name is Richard Wayne Fraser and I am William Plumlee Fraser's son. My grandmother was Mary Majorie Magdalene Ogden Fraser. And our great or (great-great) grandmother, Sally Roupe we share in common. I'm new at this, but I'm trying to put together my family heritage. I have a lot of information that I have received from my dad, W.P. Lee Fraser. The information is not documented, so I'm in the process in learning what I need to do. I am using the services of the genealogy department of Fort Worth, Texas public library. The first thing they required of me was to fill out a Pedigree Chart and Family Group for each family husband and wife info with their children's info. Then I am going back to the library for follow up with checking the information out against the library's records. The federal government census information records will be the source for doing the cross-checking.
I'm going to send you some brief information with some blank forms that you can make copies of to fill out your family tree information. If you would fill out the information known to you, and I will verify at the library. Your help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help you can give to me. If you are any of your family members would like to contact me about our family history please do.
After I have done my research, I hope to write a book on my family history.
What country did you family come from? Do you know any stories about your family?

I know more about my dad's side of the family than my mother's side. My mother was a Hayden. The came from Oklahoma, Kentucky, Virginia and Somerset Shire England. I will find out soon that information.
Daniel Fraser came to American as a stowaway on a ship around 1743 to 46. His uncle was Simon Fraser the 12th Lord of Lovat in Scotland. There were many Frasers in Scotland. One Sir Simon Fraser fought with William Wallace for Scotland freedom from England in the 14th century. Simon had married the sister of Robert the Bruce or Robert the I, king of Scotland after its freedom from England with the Pope's blessing. Robert the Bruce was formerly called Robert the Bruce the VIII. I don't know if you saw the movie Braveheart where Mel Gibson played William Wallace. Both Simon Fraser and William Wallace were hanged in England for their attempt in trying to free Scotland. Later Robert the Bruce won the freedom for Scotland.
The first Frasers came to Scotland around 1060 from France, probably Anjou, France, and they were called La Fraseliere or La Frazeliere. I have a lot of gaps to fill in.
Dad is still alive in Denver Colorado at his old address. He is remarried to a woman named Dee. Dad is ninety years old now. He has several problems with aches and pains. He is still mentally alert, but does have some memory problems. (Note today 042704 dad is 96 and failing fast)
Are all of your families well? Have there been any deaths in your family since dad last contacted you?
