I'm not sure where Jasper Co. is without checking the map. However, I have Loy ancestors that may have resided in Bureau & Lee Counties in the northern part of the state. I recall seeing Loy's from the central and southern part of the state around Effingham(?), according to the old census records I was looking at. I'm trying to determine if the bulk of Loys from this state that claim birth from Ireland are the Scotch-Irish immigrants from Ulster in Northern Ireland. Good luck on your search
