I have a Loy website at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~loyhistory From what I see of your family (I checked the Jasper Co., MO census back to 1870), your family is probably from the John Heinrich Loy (came to America 1733) line, who had descendants living in Hampshire Co., WV. I found you with your parents in the 1920 and 1930 Jasper Co., MO census, and in the 1900 Jasper Co. census your dad (born September 1883 MO) and his brother Albert (born August 1880 MO) were listed as stepsons of Frank Chapman (born December 1862 Michigan). Their mother was Ellen (born July 1857 IL). Ellen was probably the 22 year old Elenor, wife of William T. Loy (age 28 born WV) in 1880 census. William T. and Eleanor had two children in that census: Rosie, age 4, and William, age 2. The household before theirs in 1880 was Samuel Loy (age 59 born WV) and (probably second??) wife Sarah C. (age 37)
