Mary Jane Moss - Michigan

I was told my mother was Mary Jane Moss, born May 22, 1921 in Flint, Michigan. Her father was Dr. William Cloyd Moss, Mother - Maude Clark Turnbull. Her father was from Indiana and her mother was from Chicago, Illinois. My mother left the U.S. when she was about 8 or 9 years of age, when her mother remarried - a Willard Chedister of Western Canada.

We can find no record of my mother's birth. Can anyone help me?
