Hi Libby, My GGGrandparents are Thomas Loorham and Mary Ellen Nalley, married in Dysart Westmeath in 1858, a little village between Mullingar and Castletown-Geoghegan. They migrated to Australia the same year and settled in East Gippsland. They are burrried in an unmarked grave in Bairnsdale. The "H" was added to Looram (the current Irish spelling) in Australia by an English teacher so the story goes. Mary Ellen's parents were Mathew Nalley and Mary Ryan. I stayed on the/a? Nally farm a couple of years ago with cousins. Hope this helps to clarify the Nally-Loorham Australian Connection.
Cheers to all cousins and friends,
Chris Loorham
