I am looking for a connection for John J. Tainter, a hearing and speech impaired man who lived in Georgetown in the late 1800's. He attended a school for the deaf in NYC. I can not locate his parents name although I do believe his grandmother was one Hepzabah Tainter the widow of a pastor who was supposedly buried in a cemetery in Durhamville, NY. However Hepzabah and her husband only had one son who died in infancy.
It is possible that he is the illegitimate offspring of one of their daughters. John J. Married a speech and hearing impaired woman. They had two sons, Theodore Prindle and Grant Tainter.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
