My mother, born in Attawaugan, was an orphan , her mother died in childbirth on1/8/97. Both of her parents Azarie and Alphonsine are buried in the Dayville Catholic Church cemetery. His brother and her sister were also husband and wife Joe and Albina Lamoureux and all four share the same tombstone. My mother had many double cousins in Dayville. One of her cousins wasclerk of the records of Killingly in Danielson but many of her relatives in Dayville were named Viens. I have been to Canada and traced the Lamoureux family back to Normandy from whence they left in 1670; and have also been through the records of the Benoits, Alphonsine's forbears in the Montreal area. I was born and raised in Putnam. My parents were both lifelong residents: Archie and Minnie Macdonald. Dad was a lawywr in Putnam for 54 years and knew everybody in the area. So there was lots of talk at home. My brother John lives at Alexanders Lake. Send me a reply if you are interested and take a look at the cemetery in Dayville. Cordially, Donald Macdonald
