My maternal grandfather was Joseph Loscombe, and although born in Cleckenwell London had relatives in Ireland. He had been a Regular soldier and served throughout the 1st. World War in the 16th. Lancers. On Sept.3rd.1939 he joined the RAF. Survived that War, and died in 1985. If I can give you any more information about him please do not hesitate to get in touch.
