Hello Sandy,
I just learned after searching the ancestry of my g-grandfather John E. Day and ordering his death certificate, that his mother's maiden name was...Mary J. Croak of Ireland born abt 1852. Nicholas Day and Mary (Croak) Day came to the US in 1882 and ended up in Minneapolis, MN. With them they brought my g-grandpa John and his brother Thomas. They are mostly buried at St. Mary's Cemetery there in Minneapolis, so Iam going to write to the cemetery to see if I can find any further out about her. I do not know the town or city in Ireland my Day's or Croak's came from but saw your entry online and thought I'd write you.
I know it's a shot in the dark that there may not be any connection to your Croak's and mine, but I've searched so long on my father's side for the Day ancestry, don't want to give up now.
Yours in hope,
Mrs. Vicki Torres (Day)
