I'm a direct descendant of Henry Featherstone Haugh Wooster & Henrietta Brandon, 5 of their sons Henry Featherstone, Thomas, Samuel, Charles (my GG Grandfather) & George emigrated from London UK to OZ & NZ during the 1860s. Thomas & Charles served with the 2nd Regiment Waikato Militia during the New Zealan Maori Wars, Thomas settled & remained in the Hawkes Bay region of NZ, whilst Charles settled at Nabiac NSW, as did Samuel. Henry married in Adelaide, spent time @ Broken Hill & was buried in Victoria. George the youngest spent time @ Nabiac NSW then moved to Auckland NZ. Charles was also a gold digger(miner) & sailor, he in his later years was a owner of a paddle ship (Wompoo) which plied the northern NSW rivers. Charles died in 1941.
My family still resides on the original farm @ Nabiac NSW. I've a lot of information on the family dating from about 1500. Looking for all info' on the OZ & NZ connection & I'm willing to share.
