I was just talking to my mother about Jim (James) Audas,(State Botanist, Victoria),last night. My mothers grandmother was Jeanne Grant nee Audas - Jim's sister. Audas boys were educated at the school of mines in Ballerat, Vic. One brother went to South Africa, involved with mining there. Others had farms in Gippsland, Vic. And I know one brother went to W.A. I'm a bit sketchy on details. I know her greatgrandmother was Ryan. I think my mother has a photo of her with the rest of the family. Jim Audas is buried in Melbourne General Cemetery. My mother knows a fair bit about the family, cheers, Caitlin
