Hello,
Saw your post about Nicolini family information.
My grandmother was Marcellita Nicolini Bogan of New Orleans. She was born in 1886. Her father was Joseph Nicolini. He came to the US, from Brescia to attend Spring Hill College (sponsored by his cousins, the Marinoni family of New Orleans) and he ended up settling here and operating a tobacco store in the French Quarter. Joseph was married first to to a woman whose name I haven't determined and they had a daughter named Virginia and three sons Anthony, Louis and Joseph. After the death of the first wife, he married my great grandmother Elmira Jane Clark and had four additional children, John Richard, Zulica, Paul and Marcellita. He died in 1923. The Earl J. Nicolini of Metairie, whose obit appeared in one of the posts, was the son of John Richard Nicolini and Amy Tesson Nicolini. Someone had speculated that it was the same EJ who was a child of Francesco and Rosa Nicolini but that was incorrect.
I am working up my family history also, so if you happen to come across anything on my relatives in your research, I would like to exchange information or get any leads you may have to records that pertain to my family.
Thanks and good luck
John
