This is rather like clutching a straws, but i am searching for a family in canada who, during the end of WW2, took in british soldiers who were being returned home by ship after being brought back from Changi a japenese prisoner of war camp. My relative, is my husbands late father, Frederick Charles Bailey, who was one of these people, lucky enough to find caring folk to give him a wonderful safe haven. I am researching the family tree and have only just been given this photo of him taken with Margaret Lundie; David lundie and margaret anderson. two of the poeple on this photo are young children. There is one adult woman and of course my father in law. I have no idea where in canada but think it close to vancouver. if anyone has any idea or can give me a clue as to where i can get this information please email me.
