Hello Anne !
The best for the new year to come . A bit more news . Is your father burried in Allanche in the department of Cantal in France ? And why is it so ?
also I spoke to Marc Ringrave who also got in touch with David Ringrave , the holder of my mother's tree. I still wait to have a copy of it .
I dug a Rhingrave ,from whom I wait an answer to my contacting him recently. He is not on phone books that I know of. So , more waiting....
The father of my grand father comme from Rochefort and was 59 years old when Fernand was born in Toulon. Why he changed his name and when did he moved to Beziers ,and under what circumstances remain a non answered question.
There seems to be family secrets perhaps as Fernand (named Louis Jules Ringrave) born the 19 Jan 1897 was the product of two artistes lyriques non married. She was 36 years old herself. So, that makes the father of Fernand to be born in 1835. What happened before that remain to be discovered if I received a certif of birth ,which could give me some infos as who was his father.
My mother had the origin of the side of the Ringraves traced to being luthiers in Antwerp (Belgique). I knew about Rochefort at some level.
So the saga lives on for another year.
Let me know of any clues if any.
Ciao for now ....Philippe Erick Monier Ringrave
