hi sorry id didn't get back to you sooner. had trouble with my computer. my great grandmother veronica strac was born in austria/hungary. but back then it covered a lot of countries. they spoke german and were catholic. strac was her maiden name. do you have any other info about your great grandfather? at one time there was a possibility that they belonged to a group of nomads who fought for other countries including the civil war. they never came to america but could have lived in what is called northern germany. maybe there is a connection. do you no if they were related or new anyone with the name of rak which in english is rock? thanks for your help jeanann
