My maternal grandfather was Garrell Lewis Lang, born Goochland,Va.,9/5/1873, son of Nathaniel Green Lang b.Goochland, Va. 5/26/1839,son of John Lang, b, Virginia ca 1807, son of John Hinter Lang, born Ebersheim,Germany or Alsace Lorraine 6/24/1751. John,(Johan or Jean) born in 1751 last name was Hinterlang. he became "americanized and used the Hinter (Hinder) as a middle name. There are many Lang's in Virginia, we plan another family reunion in Goochland,Virginia, 11 June,2005 at Mt. Gilead Church.
