Hi Laurie,
I went through my Wintermantel books and found that I have a copy of the marriage record between Johann Jakob Tschummi and Sophia Rosina Wintermantel. I will send you a copy, however, we will have to exchange email addresses because this message board does not post them. My email address is ArleneRiemer@wi.rr.com.
This record states in part:
that in the Parish of Ihringen on 7 October 1849 a marriage between Johann Jakob Tschummi, born 27 Juni 1826, citizen of Ihringen, and farmer,
(parents of Johann Jakob Tschummi) legitimate son of the Johann Jakob Tschummi, citizen of Ihringen and cabinetmaker, and the Katharina born Bernhard;
with Sophia Rosina Wintermantel, born 28 October 1828, legitimate unmarried daughter of the
Johannes Wintermantel, citizen of Ihringen and farmer and the deceased Sophia Rosina born Woerne.
The spelling of these names is correct. I have been working on my lines in Ihringen for a good 25 to 30 years and have gotten pretty proficient at deciphering the names, dates, etc.
Send me an email at my above address and include your street address so I can send you a copy of this record. If you know of someone who knows how to read German script, perhaps they can translate it verbatum.
Your name Leonhardin is mistranslated. The "L" should be a "B"ernhardin. The "in" at the end of a name means the feminine form of the name Bernhard. Also, the farther back you go, you will find variations in spelling of the surnames.

Ihringen has a very nice website, however, I have noticed that they give month and year but not the day of the event.
