Shanley Research

My great,great grandfather, Francis Shanley was born in County Leitrim, circa 1822. He was subsequently tried & convicted in Leitrim on the 17 July 1846, for robbery & possesion of fire arms. He was deported for life to the Tasmanian Penal Colony,on the 23 Sept. 1845.
I am trying to trace his Family in or around Leitrim at this time.
Any Information would be greatfully received.
