My father was born in Ireland (believe it was in Balfast) In 1883, He came to USA about 1900-1903
and lived in Pittsburg Pa area for awhile before
moving to Colorado.
He met my mother (Agnes Hoey (or Hoy) who was born
in Scotland about 1883.
They had 5 children all born in Pueblo, Colo.,
Jeanne, Bobby, (these two died early), Agnes,
James Jr (me) and David - Agnes died in Lubbock, Tx,, and David died in Abilene.
I was born April 15, 1916,and am 81 yrs of age.
we moved from Colo to Lubbock, Tx., in about 1927,
and I have continued there and in Texas area since,
having worked for FWDC Ry., and Santa Fe Ry., at
various locations in Texas (northern part of state).
There are still some relatives in Pueblo, Colo.
Would appreciate hearing from any person with any
knowledge of the McMeekan name.
