I am researching my Grandfather Wilfred Charles Isaac went to Mendoza in Argentina with his wife and first Child. He was managing the construction of the Trans Andine Railway Tunnel through the Andes maountains from about 1911 to 1914. I believe he stayed for a short time in Australia where the first child was borne in 1911. He likely travelled from Australia to Argentina about 1911.
His second child died in Mendoza and would have been buried there. The next birth was my Father in Beunos Aires. Wilfred and family left Argentina and sailed back to London on the "Gelria" in 1914.
I am unable to find any passenger lists or other birth or cemetery records in Argentina.
Sadly, I only understand English which makes it difficult to research effectively.
If you make any progress I would be grateful for any advice or references you may suggest.
Kindest Regards,
Richard Isaac
