my great-greatuncle was Santo Monastra born in Sicily inthe mid 1800. My great grandfather, one od Santo's brothers, was born in 1867, lived until 1963. that town is Castell'Umberto provunce of Messina in Sicily. We have learned that the first Mr. Monastra was an Egyptin sculptor some of his works are still believed to be in the church of St. Vincent in the same town. Other brothers were, Cesare, Arturo, Giuseppe, Santo and I don't remeber the 5th brother. At least one son of these brothers emigrated to Perth, west Australia, cousin Santo passed on in the last six months but his sons are still in Perth. Santo was a name used in Sicily, there should be a connecton, names such as above were not used by many people. Cesare was popular in that part of the world,in fact there is a town called Cesaro also.
