How exciting to hear from you, and so quickly too. First of all my grandparents have all past and my Mom and Dad have too. So all I know is what I remember. I don't have any Aunts or Uncles either. My Mother was an only child. here is what I know about my Grandpa Jack:
He was born in Lercarda and had two brothers, his mother died and his father remarried and the whole family went to Argentina to live for a while. He came back to Lercarda where he had a marriage that was arranged with a woman named Rosa Dolcimascalo? on the spelling... He left with her brother Joe and came to America and landed in Kansas City. Joe and Jack got jobs laying Terazza Tile on the floor of our Union Train Station. They lived together and saved there money, sent for Rosa and she came alone to America and found her way to K.C. I can't even imagine not knowing any English how she did it but she did. Jack and Rosa married and had my mother Antoinette. They only had the one child. Rosa never went back to Italy and neither did he. I went back to see the family some 28 years ago and got to meet family that still lived in the house that she was born in... I have papers I will try to hunt down and see if there is more to tell. do you think we are related. Jackie
