My father's family was from Pofi. His name was Gidio Scenga, and his parents were Giacinto and Louisa Scenga. Giacinto and Louisa came over on a boat with another relative, Sebastiano Scenga with his wife, Constanza, in approximately 1923.
If there are any Scenga family members in Pofi or in Italy that anyone can connect me with, I would be very appreciative. I long to connect with my Italian family. I live in a small town in Michigan, will soon retire from university teaching, and my husband Robert is already retired. We took a short, three-week trip to Italy last spring and hope to return again soon, but to first connect with family--and hopefully eventually meet.
