Hello, Danello:
I read your message by chance. I am also interested in knowing more about the Molluras.
My grandparents: Pietro Mollura and Inocenza Barbaro di Mollura emigrated to Buenos Aires, Argentina, around 1905. I believe he was joined by a brother named Gaetano.
Pietro and Inocenza went to Monteleone in Calabria (today called Vibo Valentia), where my father Gaetano Mollura, was born in 1903.
I visited Vibo Valentia a few years ago and found three delightful cousins (all women). They say that there was another brother (their father, I think) that remained in Italy.
Also, a few years ago, I briefly contacted Dennis Mollura in New York, but did not pursue the contact.
I never heard of northern Molluras, but would love to hear about them. I ask myself where the name came from.
