Carlos de Espana

Posted By: Dolores Marlena
Date: 3/29/04

Does anyone know what happened to Carlos de Espana who was a Spanish Consulate to the United States in New Orleans, Louisiana c. 1846 -1850. Spain asked America to revoke his privileges due to what they believed was his involvement in the abduction of Rey, aka Garcia from Cuba. Was he returned to Spain and/or what happened to him and his family who came to America with him. Please respond by email. Thanks for your help!
