Came across this while googling for something else.
Is the enquiry still 'live'?
Just in case, for general info:
Shiplake Bottom is a road forming the boundary between Sonning Common and Rotherfield Peppard villages in South Oxfordshire, a couple of miles north of Reading, Berkshire. One side is Sonning Common, the other Peppard. The road got its name from the portion of the parish of Shiplake-on-Thames that used to extend inland, though since lost to that parish by later boundary changes.
