Thank you for your quick reply.
Our records agree with your research with the exception of Court Finniss junior's mother and his date of birth. We believe his mother was Ann Tombridge Born 1746 Died 1783. She was the first wife of Court Finniss Senior. Court Finniss snr. and Ann Tombridge had 3 children, Court, Townsend and Ann.
Court snr. remarried Frances Knott in 1784 and they had 1 child, John Finniss Born 1785. This of course makes Court Jnr. and John Finniss (who married Susannah Major) step brothers.
We believe that Court Jnr. was the first child of Court Senr. and Ann, and was born approx. 1779.
Henry Finniss and Mary Court were Court Jnr's Grandparents. Unfortunately we have no information on Court Jnr. as the records that we are working from do not cover Canada and the U.S.
We are decendants of John Finniss and/or Susannah Major/ Maria Hazzard (Long story).
