Dear Maureen Robinson,this is Peggy (Heaps) Mitchell my married name. Yes I remember Marie helping me at school. I live in Canada, Ontario and my brother Les and his wife Joan did move to the States and now live in Waveland New Orleans. We phone each other nearly every week and correspond by e-mail. Les couldn't find you, so I went to the rescue. I am Les's sister. We used to visit you when you lived in Fleetwood. I was home to Barrow in Nov to Dec 2004, my sister Eileen still lives there. I went to try and cheer her up, she lost her husband. When I flew back to Canada - I lost my own husband Jimmy on Jan 25 2005. Of course the years have aged us some-what, I am now 74, but it doesn't seem long since I was 19. Jimmy and I immigrated with our son Michael in 1963 to Montreal, where Les waited for us there, we stayed with him until we found a place of our own. Left them after 5 years; to go to Ontario for Jimmy to find work and Les and Joan left for the States. Eileen of course didn't stay too long, she was so homesick and returned to Barrow. As I am able to drive, it makes life a little easier to get around, which Eileen and Barnie (her husband) didn't drive. I sent an e-mail to Mervyn and he replied a couple of day's ago. So told my brother Les and Joan, now they asked me to write to you. If you could please reply that you have received this e-mail successfully, then I would be pleased and let Les know.
