Hello Michael,
I'm not sure about it. Since Trento is a locative or toponimic surname (derived from the city of Trent in Northern Italy), there could be potentially hundreds of unrelated Trento families.
In Northern Italy there are at least 2 main trunks, (as far as I know) not related between them.
The Trento of Vicenza, recorded since the beginning of the 15th Century; with branches in Padua (Padova), Venice (Venezia) and Treviso.
And the Trento of Friuli, formerly known as Sartorelli, who changed their surname in the 17th Century after leaving Trent (Trento) and moving to Udine. This trunk family had branches in many places in the Region of Friuli / Venezia Giulia from Trieste to Udine.
In Argentina, where I live, there are at least 3 Trento families; originated respectively in the Provinces of Buenos Aires, Cordoba and Santa Fe.
In the U.S., where I contacted many Trentos, there are Trentos even from Sicily (in Southern Italy)!
Regards,
Esteban
