I found your website and it looks great!
I have some relatives from TN that I am having difficult time finding information on.
Daniel Thompson (b. 1796 NC ) his Wife Rose Cathcart (b. 1800 NC ) Daniel's son David (b. 1822 in Knoxville) and his wife Sarah Scoggie (b, 1815, birth location unknow) They all died in TN in 1863. I can't find death or cemetary records. I guess records were pretty sketchy in 1863.
David and Sarah had a daughter named Nancy Jane (sometimes listed as Nancy Jane Thompton). She married David C Ashmore in Cole County IL in 1864. I wonder why the parents and grandparents were not there with her.
The males are not listed on any Confederate military rosters that I can find, however I do know that David Ashmore was a leutenant in the Union Army Company C.
I would like to find out more information on the Thompsons. possible where they lived and where they are buried. Any help you can get me would be great.
