Avayanya

My great grandfather came to Scotland from France and changed his surname to Clayton. He was born in Fountainebleau to Ivan and Inez Avayanya who were circus people. I believe his mother may have been Spanish and I am told his father was from Belarusse but would like someone to confirm whether Avayanya is a Russian name or not.
Any input gratefully received.
