Origin of my surname

My Grandfather spent his whole life doing research on our name.We were Vikings our name then was Udi later Son of Udi later to change to Udison.Most Judsons are in the area of Lincolnshire and Yorkshire.This is of course where they landed.Just check telephone directory in the U.K.Claim to faim a Judson invented the Zip fastner he was an American.I should like to make contact with anyone with same surname.I am English but now live in Bangkok Thailand.
