I'm helping a friend to research her family history and we've hit a brick wall with this name.
Her great grandfather was Joseph Clouder who was supposed to have been born in Westminster around 1838. We have found him and his family living at Westminster in 1861, 81, 91 and 1901. We cannot locate him in 1841 or 51 but I've found his marriage in the GRO index and will send for the certificate. I'll post here if I find an interesting variation in his father's surname.
The family lived in Brixton until the 1950s
